Streaming platforms are notorious for their lack of transparency, allowing them to quote numbers that are tough to verify. Ormax Media, a media consulting firm, however, has been tracking viewership figures of the top releases across major platforms.

Here's a list of the most-viewed shows and movies from the Indian streaming space during the week of August 15th, 2022 – August 21st, 2022. The numbers are estimates based only within India. This list does not include any streaming releases from the South.

1. Koffee With Karan — Disney+ Hotstar

Views (million): 6.1

The sixth episode of the seventh season of the talk show Koffee With Karan had Vicky Kaushal and Sidharth Malhotra on the hot seat.

The drama series follows eight students who move to Kota to study at its two biggest rival coaching institutes. There is friendship and first love, but also intense pressure and competition.

5. Duranga — Zee5

Views (million): 2.5

Gulshan Devaiah and Drashti Dhami star in the Hindi adaptation of the Korean show Flower of Evil. The series follows an inspector investigating multiple gory murders that seem to be carried out by the suspected accomplice of a dead serial killer. Meanwhile, her husband is not what he appears to be.
