Streaming platforms are notorious for their lack of transparency, allowing them to quote numbers that are tough to verify. Ormax Media, a media consulting firm, however, has been tracking viewership figures of the top releases across major platforms.

Here’s a list of the most-viewed shows and movies from the Indian streaming space during the week of October 10th, 2022 – October 16th, 2022. The numbers are estimates based only within India. This list does not include any streaming releases from the South.

1. Maja Maa — Amazon Prime Video

Views (million): 5.1

Directed by Anand Tiwari, the film sees Madhuri Dixit play a middle-class Gujarati mother whose past threatens to disrupt her son's engagement.

2. Aashiqana — Disney+ Hotstar

Views (million): 4.3

Aashiqana is an Indian romantic thriller web series directed by Atif Khan, starring Zayn Ibad Khan and Khushi Dubey.

3. Karm Yudh — Disney+ Hotstar

Views (million): 3.7

Set in Bengal, the show revolves around a bloody family feud between the Roys. Karm Yudh stars Satish Kaushik, Ashutosh Rana and Paoli Dam.

4. Tu Zakhm Hai — MX Player

Views (million): 3.2

Set against the backdrop of high society and the Delhi crime world, the show highlights the life of a Hawala king and his hostage whom he falls in love with.
