In the age of Coronavirus quarantines, lockdowns and self-isolation, many more of us are relying on streaming platforms in search of distraction, escape and just plain entertainment. Luckily November certainly doesn't look to disappoint with an exciting new set of streaming releases offering a wide range of stories. From the grand return of flagship shows like The Crown, to straight t0 OTT releases from celebrated directors including Anurag Basu, Hansal Mehta and Sudha Kongara, here are our picks of what's releasing this month across platforms.

Ludo

When: November 12th 

Anurag Basu. Need we say more? The celebrated director's next is led by a sparkling ensemble cast including Rajkummar Rao, Sanya Malhotra, Pankaj Tripathi, Abhishek Bachchan, Aditya Roy Kapur and more. Ludo follows the journey of four different characters who meet at a crossroads.

Mismatched

When: TBC

YouTube sensation Prajakta Koli stars in a romance about a mismatched couple who come together to build an unlikely app while navigating an oddball bunch of friends, nasty bullies, a snooty professor… and well, each other.

Miss India

When: November 4th

Keerthi Suresh stars as an aspiring Indian entrepreneur dealing with disapproval, sexism and rivalry as she sets out to build a business empire. 

The Crown Season 4

When: 15th November

Netflix's prestige drama about the royals returns. This season is set in the 1980s, following the events of the Queen's clashes with Prime Minister Margaret Thatcher. Prince Charles enters a tumultuous marriage with Lady Diana Spencer.

Shawn Mendes: In Wonder

When: November 23rd

Over the course of a world tour, this unguarded documentary follows music artist Shawn Mendes as he makes sense of his stardom, relationships and musical future.

Chhalaang

When: November 13th

The latest Hansal Mehta-Rajkummar Rao collaboration is in a much lighter, more up beat space than their previous work. Chhalaang follows Montu (Rajkummar Rao), a typical PT Master who doesn't care much for his job. That is of course till circumstances put everything that Montu cares for at stake. Now he is forced to do what he has never done – teach.

When: November 12th

The biggest direct-to-digital Indian releases yet stars Suriya in a biopic based on Captain Gopinath, the man who paved the way for affordable air travel in India.

Wayne

When: November 6th

The gloriously twisted writers of Deadpool bring you a series about 16-year-old Wayne who can't help himself from righting the world's wrongs. Now, against all odds, he and his girlfriend Del are on a road trip to reclaim what's rightfully his. Expect blood, comedy and swearing. Lots of swearing.

Young Sheldon Season 4

When: November 6th

The popular Big Bang Theory-spin off returns. After graduating high school, Sheldon has a breakdown when he realizes he may not be ready for college.

The latest direct-to-digital Telugu release is a psychological thriller which sees a stranded couple being forced to stay in a mysterious house – where of course stranger and creepy things keep happening.

Laxmii

When: November 9th

The newly-titled Laxmmi stars Akshay Kumar as a man possessed by the ghost of a trans person in Raghava Lawrence's remake of his popular horror comedy Kanchana.

Raat Baki Hai

When: November 20th

Two estranged lovers meet each other after 12 years under strange circumstances one night. Except one of them is on the run having been accused of murder.
