Deepika Padukone is on-board Prabhas' next project, which will be directed by Nag Ashwin, who had earlier made the super-hit biopic Mahanati, starring Keerthi Suresh. Both actors took to their social media handles to announce the film, which also marked its production house, Vyjanthi Movies' 50th year in the business.
On Sunday, Prabhas wrote "We are very excited to have Deepika Padukone onboard, welcome," on his Instagram profile, along with a small video which included a slide of the illustrious actors the production house had worked with. These names include stars like Sridevi, Aishwarya Rai, Suhasini, Jayaprada, Preity Zinta, Rani Mukherjee and more, apart from Keerthi Suresh, who won the National Award for her performance as the legendary Savitri in Nag Ashwin's Mahanati. Mahanati was both a commercial success as well as a hit with critics and went on to bag two other National Awards.
Deepika Padukone wrote, "Beyond thrilled! Cannot wait for what we believe is going to be an incredible journey ahead…,"about her first Telugu film. Deepika Padukone had earlier acted in Rajinikanth's Tamil photorealist film Kochadaiiyaan.
As for Prabhas, the title of his epic love story Radhe Shyam was announced on July 10, which is being directed by Radha Krishna Kumar.
