Project Power Trailer Talk: Jamie Foxx Fights Off Super-Powered Baddies To Find Missing Daughter In Netflix Film

Project Power is what Taken would look like set in a superhero universe. The film's title refers to an organisation so interested in "the next evolution of the human species" that invents a pill that gives those who take it five minutes of "pure power". The catch? They have no way of knowing what power it will be beforehand. Some turn invisible, some can control fire and others get super strength. The other catch? It might kill them.

When the organisation kidnaps the woman who developed the formula for the pill, her father (Jamie Foxx) sets out to find her, enlisting the help of city cop (Joseph Gordon-Levitt) and drug peddler (Dominique Fishback) along the way. Cue plenty of super-powered fights, explosions and menacing one-liners.

Directed by Henry Joost and Ariel Schulman, Project Power drops on Netflix on 14 August.
