26 Years Of Rajinikanth’s Arunachalam: Khushbhu Sundar Pens A Nostalgic Note

Rajinikanth’s Arunachalam is a Tamil action drama that traces a rags-to-riches story. Helmed by Sundar C, it was released on April 10, 1997. Marking its 26th anniversary, Khushbhu Sundar (Sundar C’s wife) took to social media to fondly remember the film and its significance in her husband’s career. 

She wrote, “It’s every director’s dream to direct Rajinikanth & Kamal Haasan. My husband was a lucky man when he got the opportunity to direct Rajinikanth Sir at the very young age of 27. And it’s already been 26yrs. Arunachalam is a landmark in his career. Thank you for the wishes that have come his way.”

The classic co-starred Rambha, Soundarya, Senthil and others. Rajinikanth is now shooting for his next Jailer, with Nelson Dilipkumar.
