Actors’ Adda 2022: Rajkummar Rao said, it hurts when bad films make money

The Actors’ Adda 2022, attended by Vidya Balan, Anil Kapoor, Rajkummar Rao, Varun Dhawan, Dulquer Salmaan, Janhvi Kapoor, Rishab Shetty, Aayushmann Khurrana, Sheeba Chadda, and Vijay Verma, Rao spoke about his aspirations pertaining to films in 2023.

“We make good films, better films and good films work. My heart really hurts when good films don’t work, I had great things about An Action Hero (2022) and it got such great ratings on IMDB and I felt so bad, it really really hurts but when a bad film makes money that also hurts a little. (collective laughter). So I think we just make good films and it works,” Rao said.

Rao was last seen in Badhai Do (2022) alongside Bhumi Pednekar, Chadda and Gulshan Devaiah. The film was directed by Harshvardhan Kulkarni.
