Amar Kaushik: Varun came and told me he wanted to be a Bhediya

During the promotion of Bhediya on the Kapil Sharma Show, director Amar Kaushik revealed the reason behind casting Varun Dhawan to play the werewolf in his upcoming film.

"Varun himself came to me and told me that he wanted to be a Bhediya (wolf). The moment he said this I was like you are too cute and don't look like a Bhediya. Listening to this, Varun literally acted like a Bhediya which blew my mind and that is how we got our Bhediya," Kaushik said.

Kaushik is best known for directing films such as Stree (2018), Bala (2019), Sone Bhi Do Yaaro (2018) to name a few.

Kaushik appeared on The Kapil Sharma Show along with the cast of his film including Dhawan and Kriti Sanon, Abhishek Banerjee, and Deepak Dobriyal. Bhediya is a comedy horror film directed by Kaushik, and produced by Dinesh Vijan and it releases in theatres on November 25.
