Attention Seeking, People Pleasing, miscalculated what people liked about me, says Sara Ali Khan

In an interview with Film Companion, Sara Ali Khan who is currently busy promoting her upcoming film Gaslight along with co-stars Chitrangda Singh and Vikrant Massey spoke about Love Aaj Kal (2020) failure, evolving as a personality and understanding the shortcomings within her over the years.

Talking about the same, the actress shared, “There are two steps to this, as a person I have realized that it's not just my performance in Love Aaj Kal it's a lot of things I need to see first. I have always been the kind of person like when I feel I’m overweight I don't try to cover it. I purposely may go for a swim so that I realize there is something that we need to do about it. I like to see things for what they are and I think that in 2019 for various reasons I was not able to do that. I was not really seeing the mirror for what it was. I was being overly effusive. I was being a bit attention seeking. I was being a bit loud, I was pleasing people. I think I miscalculated what people liked about me.

Gaslight is directed by Pavan Kirpalani and it also stars Rahul Dev and Akshay Oberoi in important roles. The film releases on Disney+Hotstar on March 31.
