Caste and Class Politics Are at Play in Raavana Kottam Trailer, Unveiled by Silambarasan TR

Shanthanu Bhagyaraj’s upcoming Raavana Kottam is a packed rural entertainer that sees its people take pride in Kabaddi, work in the Karuva forests and celebrate the temple festivals together. The “Seemai Karuvela tree” seems to have some great advantages that are eyed by a few officials and businessmen. So a few men use caste and class politics to stir violence and take over the forest. 

Unaware of the impending doom, people enjoy their daily routine — we also get glimpses of a budding romance between Shanthanu Bhagyaraj and Anandhi. But what happens when the village has to be split into two and officials frame the people for the death of a few politicians?

Helmed by Vikram Sugumaran of Madha Yaanai Kootam fame, the film features Prabhu in an important role. Silambarasan TR released the trailer of the rural action entertainer on Twitter.
