It's A Wrap For Raghava Lawrence-Kangana Ranaut's Chandramukhi 2

Lyca Productions announced the shoot wrap of Chandramukhi 2 on Monday. The production house's official social media handles posted a photo of the film's primary cast to make the announcement. "And... cut! Chandramukhi 2 shooting has officially packed up. We can't contain our excitement for fans to experience it on the big screen," the post reads.

The film stars Raghava Lawrence, Kangana Ranaut, Vadivelu and Radikaa Sarathkumar, Lakshmi Menon and Srushti Dange, among others in main roles. P Vasu, who helmed the original, the 2005 horror comedy starring Rajinikanth, Nayanthara, Prabhu, Jyotika and Vadivelu, returns to the director's chair. Chandamukhi, which was a remake of Fazil's 1993 Malayalam film, Manichitrathazhu, was a sensational hit back in the day and had a long run across cinemas in Tamil Nadu. The Telugu dubbed version enjoyed similar success. While P Vasu directed the Telugu film Nagavalli, which was marketed as a sequel to Chandramukhi in 2010, the film failed to recreate the magic of the Tamil film.

Chandramukhi, to date, enjoys popularity, thanks to iconic comedy scenes featuring Vadivelu. The comedian's return to the sequel makes Chandramukhi 2 a film to watch out for.

MM Keeravani is scoring the music for the film while RD Rajasekar and Thota Tharani spearhead the cinematography and art departments, respectively. The release date of the film is yet to be announced.
