Kriti Sanon-Shahid Kapoor’s film back on track after latter slashes his price

According to a Bollywood Hungama report, Kriti Sanon and Shahid Kapoor will team up for a feature film in debutante director Amit Joshi’s next. As per the reports, the film faced a lot of hurdles in the form of budgeting but seems like everything is now on track and the makers shall resume shooting for the film soon.

The report further states, “The film has finally taken off, and will begin soon. The issue came up due to Kapoor’s fees. The actor had quoted Rs. 30 cr. as his remuneration. However, now he has slashed his price down to Rs. 14 cr. This in itself has considerably lowered the overall budget. Kapoor has for now settled with Rs. 14 cr. as his base price remuneration, but the rider is that he will receive a certain percentage of profits if the box office business of the venture crosses a certain threshold amount.”

The yet to be titled film is said to be a romantic tale between a man and a machine, with Kapoor playing a robotics specialist while Sanon will be seen as a robot.
