Mahesh Babu won’t play Hanuman in SS Rajamouli’s Next, Confirms Vijayendra Prasad

SS Rajamouli recently announced his next project with Mahesh Babu in the lead. According to a report in Times of India, a news portal has now come up with a story that Babu plays a character based on Hanuman in Rajamouli’s next project, to be shot in jungles in various parts of the world.

Reacting to the same, Rajamouli’s father and film’s writer Vijayendra Prasad has denied the news and said, “No, his character is not based on Lord Hanuman, or any mythological character.”

A source close to the project told the website, “Only Mahesh Babu and Rajamouli have been decided. Any other addition to the cast or crew you read about is manufactured. Mahesh Babu plays a contemporary character in a fast-paced jungle adventure.”
