Ponniyin Selvan 2: Jayam Ravi and Sobhita Dhulipala in ‘Veera Raja Veera’ Are Winning Hearts

When the lyric video of the ‘Veera Raja Veera’ song, which praises the Chola clan and Arunmozhi Varman’s (Jayam Ravi) bravery was released last month, it was an instant hit among the fans of Ponniyin Selvan. While the video gave us glimpses of Arunmozhi romancing Vaanathi (Sobhita Dhulipala) on a ship, Ponniyin Selvan 2 did not include that portion. The film instead chose to place the song to depict portions of Karikalan’s young romance with Nandini.

Ahead of the film’s OTT release, the makers have now unveiled the full video song of ‘Veera Raja Veera’. Apart from the visuals that made it to the film’s final cut, the video also included clips of Sobhita’s mesmerising dance on the ship.

Earlier, the makers had released the full video song of ‘Aga Naga’ which chronicled all the major interactions of Kundavai (Trisha) and Vandiyathevan (Karthi) in the film. Directed by Mani Ratnam, the film has music by AR Rahman. After its successful theatrical run, the film is slated to be released on OTT on May 26.
