Ponniyin Selvan 2 Will Be Double the Drama, Double the Action: Trisha

The promotions are in full swing for Mani Ratnam’s Ponniyin Selvan 2 which is slated to hit the screens later this month. After the grand trailer and audio launch that took place in Chennai, the makers have now released a few interview clips from the event. Speaking to the press, actress Trisha, who plays Princess Kundavai, asserted that there is double the hype for part two and it will not leave the fans disappointed. 

The actress said, “When Ponniyin Selvan 1 was released, there was a certain nervousness because it was something many people tried to make for over two decades in Tamil cinema. And after how the first part was received, there is definitely double the hype for the sequel. Even I am very excited. You are going to witness double the drama, double the action and different looks in the second instalment.”

Ponniyin Selvan 2 is slated to release worldwide on April 28th, 2023. Based on Kalki Krishnamurthy’s epic novel, the film co-stars Karthi, Vikram, Jayam Ravi, and Aishwarya Rai. The movie also features music from Maestro A.R Rahman and cinematography by Ravi Varman.
