Sathyaraj Returns As Jackson Durai In The Second Chapter  

Sibi Sathyaraj released the first look poster of his upcoming film titled Jackson Durai - Chapter Two ( 2023) , which is a sequel to the film Jackson Durai (2016). The film featured Sibiraj and his father, Sathyaraj, as the leads.

The newfound trend of making offsets or sequels to popular existing characters seems to have been the driving force behind this spinoff, where Sathyaraj will reprise his role from the original film. The first look poster features a stone-faced Sathyaraj in British uniform with a stunning pair of sunglasses. The caption for the poster reads ‘Jackson Durai - The Monster’. There has been no confirmations regarding the new additions to the supporting cast for the film being bankrolled by Sri Green Productions and Dream Studios, jointly by M S Sharavanan and S R Fathima.

The film is being directed by Dharani Dharan who also helmed the original Jackson Durai (2016) and other films like Burma (2014), Raja Ranguski (2018) and Ranger (2020). The sequel will have a musical score by Siddharth Vipin while cinematography is being handled by Kalyan Venkatraman.

As per the Sibi Sathyaraj’s twitter post, Samyuktha V, will be making her feature film debut with this film. The original film also featured Bindhu Madhavi, Yogi Babu, Rajendran and Karunakaran in the lead but there has been no confirmation on their return. There have been no updates from the team regarding the release dates and the film is currently in production.
