Shakti Kapoor to join the cast of Ranbir Kapoor’s Animal

Veteran actor Shakti Kapoor may be the newest addition to the cast of Ranbir Kapoor’s Animal, reported Pinkvilla. According to a source cited by the outlet, “Shakti Kapoor plays the role of a yester-year gangster in Animal and has already shot for his portions in the earlier schedules. He has an interesting character in the film and the team was very excited to have him on board. In-fact, it was an obvious casting when Sandeep Reddy Vanga came up with a character of a gangster who is past his peak.”

Directed by Sandeep Reddy Vanga, Animal is touted to be a violent gangster saga. The principal shoot of the film has been wrapped up and the cast will unite for the last 12-day schedule in Mumbai.

Animal also stars Anil Kapoor, Bobby Deol, Rashmika Mandanna, and Tripti Dimri in prominent roles. It releases in theatres on August 11.
