Siddarth is coming out with Chithha (2023) this Thursday. The drama will see him play an uncle whose five-year-old niece means the world to him.
The team released the trailer yesterday, which offered a glimpse into the world of his thriller. The film deals with the sudden disappearance of the niece one day and the uncle's subsequent efforts at tracking down the kidnappers. The trailer promises an adequate mix of emotions and intrigue as Siddarth tries to find his niece in between a downward spiraling romance, friction with his family and helplessness.
The film is written and directed by SU Arun Kumar of Sethupathi (2016) and Sindhubaadh (2019) fame. The trailer presents Siddharth in a never-before-seen avatar and also introduces the supporting cast of actors including Nimisha Vijayan and Anjali Nair.
Chithha is bankrolled by Siddarth’s home production house, Ekati Entertainments, known for backing experimental films in the past like Kaadhalil Sodhappuvadhu (2012), Jil Jung Juk (2016) and Aval (2017) all three featuring Siddarth in the lead.
The music for Chittha is composed by Dhibu Ninan Thomas while the cinematography is by Balaji Subramanyam.
