Sudeep On Dhananjaya & Gurudev Hoysala: It’s An Achievement That He's Done 25 Films Since His Debut

Kichcha Sudeep recently graced the trailer launch of Daali Dhananjaya’s upcoming Gurudev Hoysala as the chief guest. This marks Dhananjaya’s 25th film and co-stars Amrutha Iyengar, Naveen Shankar and Achyuth Kumar. Speaking at the event, Sudeep was full of praise for his friend Dhananjaya. 

The Kabzaa actor recalled seeing the posters in the launch venue that read Daali 25 to only later realise that it signified Dhananjaya’s 25th film. “For a moment I was taken aback because I had sounded the clap for his first film. And since his debut (Director's Special, 2013), he has done 25 films, while I have done only 8,” said the actor. 

Before the launch, Sudeep asked Dhanajaya if he had really completed 25 films. “He told me it was the sum of his many roles of varying importance and screen time. But I have also done such roles, and I still can’t stretch it beyond 8,” the actor said on a light-hearted note, adding, “It is a great achievement that he has done 25 films.” Sudeep later spoke at length about Dhananjaya’s career and told his friend to enjoy cinema without worrying about the results. 

Gurudev Hoysala is an action entertainer featuring Dhananjaya as a police officer and is slated to hit the screens on March 30.
