The talks about the Master duo, Vijay and Lokesh Kanagaraj, reuniting for Thalapathy67 is long known, but the makers have lately been treating the fans with back-to-back official updates. The latest in this list is the elaborate title reveal promo that plays for close to three minutes.

Rumoured to be part of the Loki Cinematic Universe (LCU), which includes Karthi's Kaithi (2019) and Kamal Haasan's Vikram (2022), Thalapathy67's official title is Leo. The action flick goes with the tagline "Bloody Sweet" and is slated to hit the screens on October 19, 2023, in Tamil, Hindi, Telugu and Kannada. The title look is of a chocolate coin wrapped in a golden cover which is embedded with a lion symbol and weapons.

Set in the hilly town of Kashmir, the promo begins with a detailed slo-mo of the different chocolates made in a choco factory. Lying beneath the calm visuals of chocolates and soothing vocals of Anirudh Ravichander & Siddharth Basrur ("Bloody Sweet" song), the opening lyrics read: There is nothing you can do, So run away because I am here to stay.

Suggesting a calm before the storm, the promo juggles between the two jarring emotions of calmness and thrill. While Vijay is simultaneously making chocolates and whetting weapons, the camera closes up on his one eye checking the quality of the nuts and cuts immediately to another closeup of his that hints at action. Several cars make their way to the hills and Vijay tastes the chocolate liquid dripping down his sword and tells, "Bloody sweet." Although the video promises an action entertainer and resembles the promo of Vikram, whether Leo is a part of the LCU is not revealed.

The film which has music by Anirudh Ravichander went on floors on January 2. Reportedly, the team is currently shooting the second schedule in Kashmir. The makers revealed the cast details earlier this week which included Trisha, Sanjay Dutt, Priya Anand, Sandy, Gautham Vasudev Menon, Mansoor Ali Khan, Mysskin, Mathew Thomas, and Arjun Sarja. Leo also marks the reunion of Vijay and Trisha after 14 years. They have previously collaborated on films like Ghilli (2004) and Kuruvi (2008).
