In a Times of India interview, Aparshakti Khurana spoke about the praise that the cast of his recently released streaming show Jubilee received from the legendary actress Zeenat Aman.
Talking about the same Khurana said, “A legend from that era has praised Jubilee, and it means a lot to me. I always felt blessed that I got to be a part of a show that was loved by all. But after watching Zeenat Aman Ma'am's video, it was like a dream come true for me. These are the legends we have grown up watching. I can still remember when I was a 10-year-old kid and I watched her onscreen. I never thought that I'd become an actor one day. So from that day to this day, it really feels very surreal. We have seen Zeenat Ma'am's entire journey from becoming Miss India, starring in Hare Rama, Hare Krishna (1971), Yaadon Ki Baraat (1973), and doing some other iconic films. And if a person like her is praising the show, it is amazing."
Earlier, Aman had said that she had binge-watched Jubilee and that it was amazing. She also commented on the attention to detail, saying “There are so many similarities that I could spot (in the show) that used to happen back then. One such example is the moving background against a still subject. You’re sitting in a car in front of the screen and the background moves behind you! Now all of that is replaced by VFX.”
Jubilee is directed by Vikramaditya Motwane and also stars Aditi Rao Hydari, Sidhant Gupta, and Wamiqa Gabbi. It’s currently streaming on Prime Video.
