Vijay 65 Is Now Beast

Vijay's 65th film is going to be with Nelson Dilipkumar and will be produced by Sun Pictures. Vijay's 64th film Master, with Lokesh Kanagaraj, released on Pongal 2021. Nelson's debut Kolamavu Kokila, starring Nayanthara was a big hit and his second film Doctor, starring Sivakarthikeyan and Priyanka Mohan, is awaiting release. Kolamavu Kokila was a comic thriller high on laughs and low on action. It's interesting to see the kind of film he will make with Thalapathy. 

Now Sun Pictures has revealed the title of the film: BEAST. The first look features Thalapthy Vijay with a shotgun in hand — ready to fire  —as a smoke bomb is about to land near him. From the first look, it appears that he could be playing an assassin or a vigilante. It's also in a series of posters where the star can be seen with a weapon. The first look also appears to have shades of GVM's shelved film Yohan, is which he was again seen with a similar shotgun

After this year's Master, this is the second film of the superstar's with an English title. Before these, his most recent English title was Youth, back in 2002. 'Beast mode' was also a term that was used in Gautham Menon's Ennai Noki Payum Thotta.

The film produced by Kalanithi Maran of Sun Pictures will have music by Anirudh who was also the music director of Nelson's earlier films Kolamavu Kokila and Doctor. Cinematography is by Manoj Paramahamsa.
