Actor Akhil Mishra, who was best known for his performance as Dubey, the librarian, in the film 3 Idiots, has passed away in Mumbai at the age of 67.
As per a report in indianexpress.com, a close friend of the actor has shared, that Mishra passed away after he suffered injuries due to a fall in his kitchen. Though he was rushed to the hospital, doctors could not save him. Mishra's wife, actress Suzanne Bernert, was in Hyderabad when the actor passed away and has rushed back to Mumbai.
Mishra was a part of several television shows, including Bhanwar (1998), Uttaran, Udaan, CID, Shrimaan Shrimati, Bharat Ek Koj (1988), Rajani (1985), and many others. He has also been part of films like Hazaaron Khwaishein Aisi (2003), Well Done Abba (2009), Calcutta Mail (2003) and Shah Rukh Khan’s Don (2006).
