Akhil's 'Agent' to Premiere on SONY LIV on This Date

Akhil Akkineni Starrer Agent, which hit theatres on April 27 this year, is gearing up for its OTT release. Though the makers initially planned to release the film in SONY LIV on May 19, it got postponed. There were speculations that the makers were working on a new version to release on OTT by adding a few deleted scenes. But the actual reason wasn't revealed. The film is finally set to stream exclusively on SONY LIV on September 29. 

Agent, directed by Surender Reddy, is a spy action film that revolves around an ethical hacker who dreams of becoming a RAW agent. The film stars Sakshi Vaidya as the female lead, Mammootty as a RAW chief officer, and Dino Moreo among others.

Anil Sunkara, Ramabrahmam Sunkara, and Ajay Sunkara produced the film. Hip Hop Tamizha scored the music. Even though the film was announced as a pan-Indian release, it had a theatrical release only in Telugu and Malayalam languages. The other dubbed versions might be available on OTT.
