Akshay Kumar has dropped the motion poster of his upcoming film Mission Raniganj which was earlier titled The Great Indian Rescue. The motion poster gives us a glimpse into the film's story, which is based on a daring rescue operation to save the lives of 65 men trapped 350 feet below the ground in a coal mine.
Kumar plays the heroic character of Jaswant Singh Gill, an engineer at the mine who designed an innovative steel capsule to rescue the trapped workers and bring them to safety. While sharing the film's motion poster, Kumar also announced that the film's teaser will be released on September 7.
Kumar also shared three additional posters of the film in a separate social media post. He added a caption to his post which said, "Heroes don't wait for medals to do what's right! Watch the story of Bharat's true hero with #MissionRaniganj in cinemas on 6th October."
Mission Raniganj also stars Parineeti Chopra, Kumud Mishra, Pavan Malhotra, Ravi Kishan, Varun Badola, Dibyendu Bhattacharya, Rajesh Sharma, Virendra Saxena, Shishir Sharma, Ananth Mahadevan, Jameel Khan, Sudhir Pandey, Bachan Pachera, Mukesh Bhatt, and Omkar Das Manikpuri.
The film is directed by Tinu Suresh Desai and produced by Vashu Bhagnani, Jackky Bhagnani, Deepshikha Deshmukh and Ajay Kapoor, Mission Raniganj will be released in theaters on October 6.
