Akshay Kumar joins Ranveer Singh and Ajay Devgn on Singham Again shoot

Rohit Shetty has started filming for Ajay Devgn starrer Singham Again, the fifth film in his cop universe. While Devgn, Ranveer Singh and Kareena Kapoor Khan had already started shooting at Hyderabad's Ramoji Film City, Akshay Kumar joined the team on October 9 to shoot his portions for the film.

Kumar plays the character of Veer Sooryavanshi in Shetty's cop universe. His character joined forces with supercops Bajirao Singham (played by Devgn) and Sangram Bhalerao or Simmba (played by Singh) who were already a part of the cop universe.

In the film Sooryavanshi (2021), which introduced Kumar's character, Devgn and Singh had cameo appearances as Singham and Simmba. With Singham Again Kumar and Singh will be reprising their roles and making cameo appearances in the Devgn starrer.

A source close to the development told Pinkvilla, “Akshay Kumar has already reached Hyderabad to shoot for Rohit Shetty's Singham Again. He will start shooting for his week-long schedule from 9th October. Ajay Devgn, Kareena Kapoor Khan and Ranveer Singh are already shooting for the much-awaited film at Hyderabad's Ramoji Film City. The entire team is leaving no stone unturned to make this cop universe bigger. Fans are definitely in for a visual treat."

Singham Again is scheduled to release on August 15, 2024.
