Akshay Kumar to team up with Bobby Deol in Welcome 3

Welcome 3 has a new cast member- Bobby Deol. The actor will join this multi-starrer that now has five leading men. As per a source close to the development “Welcome 3 has turned out to be a hilarious script and the producers are on the verge of getting an ensemble cast on board for the film. Firoz (Nadiadwala) has managed to on board some of the biggest names from the 90s for Welcome 3 – Akshay Kumar, Sanjay Dutt, Suniel Shetty, Arshad Warsi and now Bobby Deol.”

Shooting for the film is likely to begin in 2024 and in addition to the five heroes the film will reportedly have three leading ladies. The source added,  “The script warrants the presence of 3 leading ladies and the casting is in progress. Like all films in the franchise, the core comedy of Welcome will derive from the challenges of getting married.”

Interestingly Deol and Kumar will also work together in Housefull 5 which will start filming later this year. Warsi and Kumar are sharing screen space in Jolly LLB 3 making 2024 a year of sequels and franchise films for Kumar.
