Akshay Kumar’s Next is Sarfira, Soorarai Pottru Remake

Akshay Kumar has announced the release date of his upcoming film titled Sarfira, a remake of Tamil film Soorarai Pottru (2020). The film is directed by National award winning director Sudha Kongara and also stars Radhika Madan and Paresh Rawal.

Sharing the teaser on Instagram, Kumar wrote, “Dream so Big, they call you Crazy! #Sarfira releasing only in cinemas on 12th July, 2024.”

Soorarai Pottru is based on the true events from the life of G. R. Gopinath, founder of Indian low-cost airline Simplifly Deccan, as described in his memoir 'Simply Fly: A Deccan Odyssey'.

Kumar was last seen in Mission Raniganj (2023) and has a bunch of films lined up for release including Bade Miyan Chote Miyan, Singham Again, Welcome To The Jungle, Housefull 5 among others. Sarfira releases in theatres on July 12.
