Anil Kapoor Bags The Best Supporting Actor for Animal at Dadasaheb Phalke Awards 2024

Anil Kapoor has been honoured with Best Supporting Actor for Animal at the recently held Dadasaheb Phalke International Film Festival Award 2024. Kapoor's performance as a father has hugely contributed significantly to the film's success. His act as Balbir Singh has left a mark in the audience's heart.

The actor has given two consecutive hits- Animal and Fighter- within a span of two months. While Animal has made 870Cr and is currently streaming digitally, Fighter is running successfully in cinemas and has crossed 350Cr at the box-office. Kapoor's Dadasaheb Phalke Award win highlights the industry's recognition of his accomplishments and how he’s been able to keep himself relevant over the years.

Aerial action- thriller Fighter, directed by Siddharth Anand sees Kapoor as squadron leader Rocky, who fearlessly performs aerial combat sequences with costars Hrithik Roshan, Deepika Padukone, Karan Singh Grover, and Akshaye Oberoi. The film released on January 25. The film is produced by Marflix Pictures and Viacom 18.
