Animal Park Script is Ready, film to go on floors in 2025

According to a report in Mid Day, Ranbir Kapoor starrer Animal is all set for its sequel, if the latest reports are anything to go by, the script for Animal 2 is ready and the makers are planning to start filming in 2025 once Kapoor winds up the shoot of Ramayana directed by Nitesh Tiwari.

The focus in Animal Park will involve the conflict between Kapoor and his doppelganger, exploring the complexities of his relationships, particularly with his wife Geetanjali and their son. An insider close to the project revealed, “Animal Park’s basic structure was ready right when Animal [2023] was written. It was meant to be a multi-film outing. The second part will focus on Ranbir’s character Ranvijay and his lookalike. The domestic feud between the protagonist and his wife Geetanjali will be taken forward, as will his relationship with his son.”

The script for Animal Park has been penned by Pranay Vanga. Sandeep Reddy Vanga who directed Animal and will be directing Animal Park is currently busy with his upcoming film Spirit but has been closely monitoring the development of Animal Park. The director is expected to actively collaborate with the writers in the latter half of 2024 to bring his vision to life.

Animal which released in theatres on December 1 featured Rashmika Mandanna, Anil Kapoor, Prem Chopra and Shakti Kapoor in important roles.
