Ashutosh Rana and Divya Dutta’s next is Laxman Utekar’s Chhawa

According to a Times of India report, Ashutosh Rana and Divya Dutta have been roped in for director Laxman Utekar’s next Chhawa. The film which stars Vicky Kaushal and Rashmika Mandanna as leads in the historical drama based on Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj, son of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj might also star Anil Kapoor in a pivotal role.

Although, the makers are yet to make any official announcements on the supporting cast a source revealed to the portal that Dutta will play Soyarabai, Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj’s second wife while Rana will essay the role of Sarsenapati Hambirao Mohite, brother of Soyarabai.

Kaushal plays the titular role of Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj while Mandanna will play Yesubai, Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj’s wife. Chhawa will go on floors in the second week of October. The film is directed by Utekar and produced by Dinesh Vijan under the Maddock Films banner. The film releases in 2024.
