Ayushmann Khurrana says Gadar 2 and Dream Girl 2 have the same audience

Ayushmann Khurrana has commented about the criticism faced by his latest release Dream Girl 2. In an interview with Bollywood Hungama, he said, "Jo Gadar 2 ki audience hai, wohi iski audience hai. Aap logic nahi laga sakte isme (Dream Girl 2 has the same audience as Gadar 2. You can't apply logic here). There's a crazy suspension of disbelief in the film."

The actor also added that the film doesn’t intend to preach, but just entertain. Khurrana said, "A Muslim family is marrying into a Sardar, a Hindu. So the mass audience will find it progressive. But those who scan with a magnifying glass will point out mistakes. This film is not for them," 

Dream Girl 2 is a spiritual sequel to Dream Girl (2019). The film is directed by Raaj Shaandilyaa and stars Khurrana, Ananya Panday, Paresh Rawal, Rajpal Yadav, Annu Kapoor, Asrani, Abhishek Banerjee, Manjot Singh and Seema Bhargava Pahwa. Dream Girl 2 was released in theatres on August 25.
