Boney Kapoor to present trailer of Ajay Devgn’s Maidaan at Big Cine Expo 2023

Maidaan, a sports drama starring Ajay Devgn, Gajraj Rao and Priyamani in the lead roles, was scheduled to release in June this year, but the makers have postponed the date. The film, which has been under production since 2019, faced long delays due to the Pandemic and postproduction hassles.

While the film’s release date remains unknown, producer Boney Kapoor is now planning to share the trailer and some exclusive footage from the film at the Big Cine Expo in Chennai on August 8. Kapoor will reportedly screen the footage from the film after the inauguration ceremony where he is one of the guests of honour.

The Big Cine Expo is an annual event that brings together theatre owners, design consultants, equipment manufacturers, system integrators, project management professionals, and other industry stakeholders. The sixth edition of the Expo will be held at the Chennai Trade Centre on August 8 and 9 this year.

Maidaan is directed by Amit Ravindernath Sharma and produced by Kapoor, Akash Chawla, Arunava Joy Sengupta and Zee Studios.
