‘College Superstars’: Kavin’s Star Gives A Tribute To The Superstar Within

The makers of the Kavin starrer Star recently released the first single from the film. Titled ‘College Superstars’, the song seems to be a tribute to the heroes within everyone and people who are celebrated when they are in college, while also honouring Superstar Rajinikanth, who celebrates his birthday today. The song is composed by Yuvan Shankar Raja, who also provides vocals for the peppy number. Madhan Karky has penned the lyrics.

The song was accompanied by a music video that shows Kavin’s character in college, dancing with his gang of friends. The visuals remind us of a similar energy of immaturity and coming-of-age that is seen in Gautam Vasudev Menon’s ‘Yethi Yethi’ from the film Vaaranam Aayiram (2008). The song is choreographed by Sathish Krishnan.

Star is written and directed by Elan and also stars Lal, Aaditi Polankar, and Geetha Kailasam. The film has music by Yuvan Shankar Raja and editing by Ezhil Arasu K. The film is backed by BVSN Prasad and Sreenidhi Sagar under the SVCC banner.
