D51: Rashmika Mandanna Joins Dhanush’s Next Directed by Sekhar Kammula

Dhanush will be working with Telugu cinema director Sekhar Kammula on his next multilingual film tentatively titled D51. The recent news is that Rashmika Mandanna has been roped in to play the female lead. The film will mark her first time on screen collaboration with Dhanush. She earlier made her Tamil cinema debut opposite Vijay in Vaarisu (2023).

The director, who is known for films such as Fidaa and Love Story is reported to have narrated the story to Dhanush back in 2021. This film will mark Dhanush’s second direct Telugu film after this year’s Sir.The film is bankrolled by Suniel Narang and Puskur Ram Mohan Rao for Sree Venkateswara Cinemas LLP, in association with Amigos Creations Pvt Ltd. ‘D 51’ is expected to be made in various languages.

Dhanush will next be seen in Arun Matheswaran’s Captain Miller and will also be working on his sophomore directorial, tentatively titled D50.
