Deepika Padukone to play Ajay Devgn’s Sister in Singham Again

As per a report in Bollywood Hungama, Deepika Padukone will join the Rohit Shetty cop universe as Ajay Devgn’s sister in Singham Again. A source close to the development has reportedly said, "Deepika Padukone is all excited for Rohit Shetty's Singham Again. She will be playing the first female cop of the Rohit Shetty Universe and has already started prep work for this action-packed part. Deepika's character is more along the lines of a Lady Singham and has the arc of being Ajay Devgn's sister in the film," 

The source revealed that Shetty has planned to make the first female cop in his universe Singham’s family member, to establish that he is surrounded by patriots who want to serve the nation. "It's a well-written role and more than just a cameo. It's more like a proper extended appearance for Deepika in Singham Again and she will be shooting for around 35 to 40 days," the source shared.

Singham Again is also likely to have a cameo by Tiger Shroff, who is also making his entry into Shetty’s cop universe. This cameo might eventually lead to a solo hero film for Shroff. Singham Again will reportedly start filming in September this year and is scheduled to release in August 2024.
