Veteran actor Dharmendra will be celebrating his 88th birthday today. The actor who has been in the movies since the last six decades, started his career alongside Balraj Sahni and Kumkum in the Arjun Hingorani directorial Dil Bhi Tera Hum Bhi Tere (1960). He went on to gain recognition with several notable performances, essaying characters across varied genres in films like Mera Gaon Mera Desh (1971), Seeta Aur Geeta (1972), Samadhi (1972), Raja Jani (1972), Jugnu (1973), Yaadon Ki Baaraat (1973), Sholay (1975), and Pratiggya (1975), amongst others. Dharmendra was recently seen in Karan Johar’s directorial Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani.
