In an interview with Anupama Chopra, filmmaker Dibaker Banerjee revealed how Love Sex Aur Dhokha (2010) wasn’t prioritized by the audience. The director shared a funny anecdote with Chopra while explaining how the generation has evolved since LSD first released, “There is a whole generation to which LSD means nothing. They are watching LSD 2, hopefully. They’ll just say it's called LSD 2, ok fine, I'll figure out what that shit is, let’s watch this film,” he said in the interview.
Talking about how moviegoers gave preference to other big banner and big stars films, he shared, “Vo badi wali film ke housefull hai, mein ye wali dekhta hun (that big film is housefull, I’ll watch this one). That’s how LSD started.”
Banerjee’s next is LSD 2, the film stars Mouni Roy, Tusshar Kapoor and Nimrit Ahluwalia. The film releases in theatres on April 19.
