Double iSmart: Ram Pothineni and Puri Jagannadh Reunite for iSmart Shankar Sequel

Celebrating Ram Pothineni’s birthday, Puri Jagannadh announced a sequel to the hit film iSmart Shankar (2019), titled Double iSmart. The sci-fi thriller iSmart Shankar (2019) followed the life of an assassin (played by Pothineni) who helps the police nab a criminal when a dead senior officer’s memories are transferred to his brain. Penned by Jagannadh, the sequel is slated to hit the screens on March 8, 2024, on the occasion of Maha Shvratri.

Announcing the sequel, the makers wrote on Twitter, “The ENERGETIC combo of Ustaad @ramsayz & Dashing Director #PuriJagannadh is back with ISMART BANG for #DoubleISMART🔥” The pan-Indian film will be released in Tamil, Telugu, Hindi, Malayalam and Kannada. The film is bankrolled by Jagannadh and Charmme Kaur under Puri Connects.
