EXCLUSIVE: Kamini is bold, resilient & poised, says Yami Gautam on OMG 2

Yami Gautam who plays a lawyer in her upcoming film OMG 2 exclusively told Film Companion that she feels grateful for being offered the film.

Talking about working in content driven films, Gautam said, “Having begun my career with a film which was an amalgamation of unique yet very relevant socio topic, I have never shied away from taking up opportunities to be a part of such important content driven films and hence once again I am grateful for being offered such an excellent script. I hope the audience also likes my character as much as they have showered their love to me before. Kamini is bold, resilient & poised. I have worked on this character with a lot of love and dedication,I’m extremely excited for audience’ response, as always.”

OMG 2 is a story of Kanti Sharan Mudgal (Pankaj Tripathi), who wages a war against the system to provide justice for his son, accused of committing a 'vulgar act'. In his journey, he is challenged by Kamini (Gautam), a lawyer fighting in opposition. Akshay Kumar who plays a messenger of Lord Shiva is sent to save and support Mudgal in his fight.

Gautam made her Hindi film debut with Vicky Donor (2012) starring alongside Ayushmann Khurrana. She was last seen in Chor Nikal ke Bhaga with Vicky Kaushal and has Dhoom Dhaam with Pratik Gandhi and Eijaz Khan.

OMG 2 is directed by Amit Rai. It is a sequel to the 2012 release OMG- Oh My God which starred Paresh Rawal alongside Kumar in lead role. OMG 2 releases in theatres on August 11.
