Fahadh Fasil And Vadivelu’s New Film Gets A Title

It was earlier announced that Fahadh Faasil and Vadivelu would reunite for a film under the production house Super Good Films. The film was tentatively titled Production No.98. Now, the makers have announced the film’s official title: Maareesan.

Maareesan sees Fahadh Faasil and Vadivelu reunite after last year’s political drama Maamannan. The Mari Selvaraj directorial saw the two facing each other as opposing politicians during elections, with Udhayanidhi Stalin as the protagonist. The film also starred Keerthy Suresh and saw Vadivelu in a more dramatic role that strayed away from his comedic persona.

The new film is directed by Sudheesh Shankar and is backed by RB Chaudhary under the Super Good Films banner. It has music by Yuvan Shankar Raja and lyrics by Madhan Karky. The director and Fahadh Faasil were supposed to collaborate on a film titled Hanuman Gear with Super Good Films producing. However, it remains unclear whether the film is the same or a new script.
