Prime Video's upcoming crime series Bambai Meri Jaan, had its global premiere in London on September 12. Aparna Purohit, Head of Indian Originals at Prime Video, producers Farhan Akhtar, Ritesh Sidhwani and Kassim Jagmagia of Excel Media and Entertainment, series creators Shujaat Saudagar and Rensil D’Silva, and two of the show's lead actors, Avinash Tiwary and Kritika Kamra, were present at the event.
The 10-part series is set in Mumbai or Bambai in the 60s and 70s, which is witnessing the rise of gangs and organised crime. An honest police officer Ismail Kadri (Kay Kay Menon) works hard to protect the city from falling into the hands of smugglers and gangsters. But his own family is torn apart, when his son Dara Kadri (Tiwary) and daughter Habiba (Kamra) get sucked into the murky world of crime. The show also stars Nivedita Bhattacharya and Amyra Dastur.
Bambai Meri Jaan is directed by Saudagar. The series will stream on Prime Video in over 30 languages for audiences in 240 countries and territories, starting Sept 14.
