Farhan Akhtar Drops First Look of Prime Video Series Bambai Meri Jaan

Farhan Akhtar has dropped the first look of the upcoming gangster thriller Bambai Meri Jaan and announced that the 10-part series will premiere exclusively on Prime Video on September 14. Bambai Meri Jaan’s talented cast includes Kay Kay Menon, Avinash Tiwary, Kritika Kamra, Nivedita Bhattacharya and Amyra Dastur. The show is created by Rensil D’Silva and Shujaat Saudagar and directed by Saudagar. Ritesh Sidhwani, Kassim Jagmagia and Akhtar serve as executive producers.

The fictional crime series is a gripping saga about a father and son who find themselves on opposite sides of the law. Set in post-independence India, Bambai Meri Jaan explores the timeless battle of good versus evil. The series chronicles the life and rise of a young man, Dara Kadri ( Tiwary), torn between his father’s (Menon) law enforcement legacy and his own journey into the heart of organised crime.

Saudagar, the show’s co-creator and director shared, “Bambai Meri Jaan weaves the saga of a family inhabiting and growing through their trials and tribulations alongside burgeoning post-independent Mumbai. We can’t wait to see viewers’ reactions to the series that is so close to our hearts.”

Bambai Meri Jaan will stream on Prime Video from September 14.
