Farhan Akhtar’s Jee Le Zaraa will not happen- Know Why

According to a report in Bollywood Hungama, Farhan Akhtar’s highly anticipated film Jee Le Zaraa has been shelved. A close source to the portal revealed that the leading cast of the film which includes Priyanka Chopra Jonas, Katrina Kaif and Alia Bhatt couldn’t settle down on the dates required for the film. Since, Chopra is busy with her Hollywood commitments in 2023, she requested Akhtar to shift the dates to 2024 but it seems Bhatt is busy next year as she has already signed in for Ramayana with Ranbir Kapoor and Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Baiju Bawra alongside Ranveer Singh.

After all the efforts, even Katrina was concerned as she is planning multiple things professionally and personally too. "Much like Alia, Katrina also had plans in life and after a point was not able to commit to shoot for the film much in advance. The dates kept getting changed and finally, Farhan had no option but put it on the back burner. At this point of time, Jee Le Zaraa is not happening, at least with the same cast and we need to see if the makers revamp it at a later stage," the source told us further.

Akhtar also tried to recast for the film but apparently that didn’t work. Jee Le Zaraa was to be directed by Akhtar. The film is written by Zoya Akhtar, Reema Kagti along with Akhtar. The makers had also released the first poster of the film.
