First Look of Anurag Basu's Metro In Dino Out

Much to fans’ excitement, a never-before-seen image from the sets of Anurag Basu’s long-awaited film Metro in Dino has surfaced on the internet. The film, which was initially scheduled to release at the end of 2023, ended up being pushed to March and now, November of 2024. Inspired by Basu’s critically acclaimed 2007 film Life in a Metro, Metro In Dino explores the complexities of love and relationships in an urban setting. 

The behind-the-scenes picture in question, which was shared by publicists, features the film’s stars Ali Fazal and Fatima Sana Sheikh alongside Basu. The trio are soaked in water and sport big smiles on their faces. It’s the first time this actor duo will be seen on screen. A source revealed, “Ali and Fatima are being paired for the first time together. They have a great friendship both on and off set. They have wrapped up two schedules together and will be shooting for another schedule soon in Mumbai.”

The film’s ensemble cast will also include Sara Ali Khan, Aditya Roy Kapur, Konkona Sen Sharma, Pankaj Tripathi, Neena Gupta, and Anupam Kher. This BTS photo serves to heighten the anticipation surrounding Metro In Dino, which promises to be a unique and sensitive portrait of romance.
