Geethanjali Malli Vachindhi Teaser: Anjali Anchors This Horror-Comedy Sequel

Anjali’s Geethanjali (2014) was a surprise hit at the box office for a small film. It came around the boom of horror comedy in Telugu with films like Prema Katha Chitram (2013), Raju Gari Gadhi (2015) and Raghava Lawrence’s Kanchana series. Now, after 9 years, the makers are back with a sequel, Geethanjali Malli Vachindi. While the first part was directed by Raj Kiran, Shiva Turlapati has helmed the sequel. This movie also marks Anjali's 50th film.

Much like its predecessor, this film appears to offer a solid dose of entertainment, blending horror and comedy elements. The movie follows a movie unit that ventures into the haunted Sangeet Mahal without realizing the dangers it holds. As they design a story for their film, they are shocked to find that the supernatural incidents they experience in the mansion mirror their script.

Apart from Anjali, the film also stars Srinivas Reddy, Sunil, Satyam Rajesh, Satya, Shakalaka Shankar, Ali, Bramhaji, Ravi Shankar, and Rahul Madhav. Kona Venkat has penned the story and has co-written the screenplay with Bhanu Bhogavarapu. The film is set to release in theatres on 22nd March.
