Guntur Kaaram to Naa Saami Ranga: Five Telugu Films Aiming For Sankranthi 2024 Release

Sankranthi season is the biggest festive season for Telugu Cinema. Stars often clash for this season and bag many blockbusters as the family audience is the main target. Sankranthi 2023 had epic releases as Balakrishna's Veera Simha Reddy clashed with Chiranjeevi's Waltair Veerayya.

This time, the number of releases for Sankranthi has doubled and it looks like we are in for some real fun. As previously announced, Super Star Mahesh Babu's Guntur Kaaram directed by Trivikram Srinivas is set to be released on January 12, 2024. The film is produced by Haarika & Hassine creations and marks Mahesh's seventh Sankranthi release after Takkari Donga (2002), Okkadu (2003), Businessman (2012), Seethamma Vakitlo Sirimalle Chettu (2013), 1 Nenokkadine (2014) and Sarileru Neekevvaru (2020). The next on the list is Ravi Teja's Eagle directed by Karthik Ghattamaneni. With its title announcement teaser, the makers have announced that the film will be released on Sankranthi 2024; there are chances to lock January 10 as the release date. The film is produced by People Media Factory.

Director Prasanth Varma's Hanuman starring Teja Sajja is scheduled to be released on January 12 clashing with Guntur Kaaram. This Superhero film gained much-required buzz with its teaser. The film was postponed several times due to its technical issues. It is produced by Primeshow Entertainment and is aiming for a pan-India release.

Likewise, Vijay Deverakonda's next film with Parasuram, tentatively titled VD 13, was also announced as a Sankranthi 2024 release when it was launched. The film is produced by Dil Raju and features Mrunal Thakur of Sita Ramam fame as a female lead. The film marks VD's second collaboration with director Parasuram after the blockbuster Geetha Govindam (2019). 

The latest addition is Akkineni Nagarjuna's Naa Saami Ranga. The film is directed by popular Choreographer Vijay Binni and co-written by writer Prasanna Kumar Bezawada, known for Dhamaka and Das Ka Dhamki. It is produced by Srinivasa Chitturi under the banner Srinivasa Silver Screen and the title glimpse of the film was recently released on the actor's birthday promises an out-and-out commercial action film for Nagarjuna after many years.
