Dhanush seems to be in no mood to slow down. After announcing two directorials and a collaboration with directors such as Mari Selvaraj, Sekhar Kammula, and Anand L Rai, the actor is set to take on the role of musical maestro Ilaiyaraja in the much-awaited biopic.
Titled Ilaiyaraja, the makers of the film recently announced the biopic with a poster, showing Dhanush in character entering an old Madras with his bags in hand. The tagline of the film says, ‘The King of Music’.
Ilaiyaraaja is directed by Arun Matheswaran, who recently collaborated with Dhanush on the period action film Captain Miller. The film is backed by Sriram Bakthisaran, CK Padma Kumar, Varun Mathur, Ilamparithy, Gajendran, and Saurabh Mishra under the Conekkt Media, PK Prime Productions, and Mercuri Movies banners. Nirav Shah handles the cinematography. There has been no confirmation on who the music director of the film is yet.
