Iraivan Trailer Out; Jayam Ravi Has To Hunt Down A Deadly Serial Killer

Jayam Ravi will be seen next in the crime thriller Iraivan (2023) as a vigilante cop who functions outside the system to deliver justice in controversial cases. The trailer pits Jayam Ravi against Rahul Boss, who seems to be playing a cold blooded killer preying on young women. The film is directed by I Ahmed of Manithan (2016) fame, marks the second collaboration with actor Jayam Ravi for the yet unreleased Jana Gana Mana (2024). The trailer promises a face off between an encounter specialist cop and a wheelchair bound serial killer who is beyond any legal punishment due to the scarcity of confirmatory evidence.

Iraivan promises to be a cat-and-mouse game between two sides of the law. The trailer features Rahul Boss as “ The Smiley Killer” and there seems to be ample amounts of gore and violence. The film will feature Nayanthara, Narain and Ashish Vidhyarthi in other pivotal roles. Iraivan has an original musical score by Yuvan Shankar Raja while cinematography will be handled by Hari K Vedanth. The project, bankrolled by Passion Studio’s is touted to be Jayam Ravi’s biggest release this year. Iraivan is all set to hit theaters on September 28 in Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam and Kannada.
