The makers of the much-awaited period drama Thangalaan starring Chiyaan Vikram wrapped its shoot on June 4. Set in the Kolar Gold Fields, the film seems to be tracing the lives of the working-class people in the mines. Vikram has a rugged look in this film, sporting long hair and a beard. Similarly, the making videos and behind-the-scene stills suggest that the characters belong to a certain community and have specific tattoos and ornaments.
Sharing images from the sets, Vikram wrote, “And it’s a wrap!! What a journey!! Worked with some of the most amazing people & had some of the most evocative experiences as an actor. Was it just 118 working days between the first pic & the last. Thank you Ranjit for making us live this dream. Every single day. #thangalaan.”
Parvathy Thiruvothu, Malavika Mohanan, Pasupathi, Harikrishnan Anbudurai and Preeti Karan are also part of the crew. The GV Prakash Kumar musical is bankrolled by Studio Green and Neelam Productions. While Selva R K is the editor, A Kishor Kumar is the cinematographer.
